GMI (Global Medical Imaging), ranked by Inc 5000 and Entrepreneur Maganzine as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, has been a major player in the private practice ultrasound equipment business by providing brand indifferent ultrasound solutions. To effectively support its installed base of over 1500 units, GMI developed service and technical support, a robust parts inventory, and board/monitor/probe repair capabilities. GMI has begun to utilize these same capabilities to support the hospital and in-house biomedical sectors. Its goal in this space is to enable hospitals to support more of their ultrasound needs in-house, leading to better machine uptimes, cost-savings, and career paths for biomeds looking to move into imaging support.

Patrick Lynch joins GMI as Biomedical Support Specialist. Pat brings to GMI extensive knowledge and experience of hospitals, the biomedical world and in-house programs. His role will be to assist in developing this market for GMI through direct support of local, regional and national biomedical associations and direct contact with in-house biomedical and clinical engineering departments, as well as support of charitable aid organizations and clinical engineering certification programs.
