Ultrasound Machine Service and Repair

This is where GMI’s individual repair and contract services can make a difference.  We have strategically located factory trained ultrasound service and technical support engineers on site and across the United States.  These professionals sole responsibility is to get you answers and up and running as quickly as possible. What if you live in an area where GMI doesn’t have an engineer? We will introduce you to our “Ready Team” members who are available to hop on a plane or into a car to make their way to you. We pride ourselves on being self-sufficient by taking care of our customers with our own skilled people.

Our Customer Service Representative’s mission is to manage your used ultrasound service and repair needs while allowing you to focus on your customers and patients. The CSRs will leverage our state-of-the-art ERP system to schedule your service call promptly and make sure the technicians have all the components needed to complete the call with confidence.

GMI has an array of options to best suite your changing needs, from accreditation and preventive maintenance to comprehensive service contracts.

Global Care – Full Protection

This comprehensive contract offers peace of mind, by offering a cap on your budget exposure as well as 100% coverage of the system and transducers against failure. Preventive maintenance visits (2 per year) to insure that your equipment meets calibration and accreditation requirements. GMI’s factory trained engineers will provide timely and professional on-site support of your ultrasound systems and accessories. 24×7 technical support is complementary.

  • Quality Assurance Certification to fulfill Accreditation Requirements
  • Safety testing to ensure the equipment passes ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1:2005 leakage current standards.
  • Unlimited Parts to maintain system performance
  • Unlimited Transducer replacements for normal failure.
  • Unlimited Labor & Travel to maintain system performance.
  • 2 Planned Preventive Maintenance inspections per year.
  • 20% Discount on other GMI products or services.

Global Shared Care – Limited Protection

A more flexible option that will empower your Biomedical Engineers and help control cost. This contract includes parts and transducer coverage, system specific training for the Biomedical team and backup labor. This option is completely customizable to your fleet and facility. Another way GMI works to provide the best options for each customer.

  • Quality Assurance Certification to fulfill Accreditation Requirements
  • Safety testing to ensure the equipment passes ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1:2005 leakage current standards.
  • Labor & Travel for 2 emergency service repairs per year
  • Parts needed for two emergency service repairs per year.
  • Limited to 1 Transducer replacements for normal failure.
  • 1 Planned Preventive Maintenance inspections per year.
  • 20% Discount on other GMI products or services

Global Console Care – Parts

  • Unlimited Parts to maintain system performance.
  • 20% discount of Travel & Labor.

Global Preventive Maintenance Plus

Short staffed? Let GMI do the work. GMI will provide all the labor, including all preventative maintenance for the selected systems. Customers will receive a preferred customer discount on parts and probes.

  • 2 Planned Preventive Maintenance inspections per year.

Preventive Maintenance

Covers all preventive maintenance visits (2 per year) for calibration and accreditation purposes. Customers will also receive preferred customer pricing on additional labor, parts and probes.

GMI has experienced service engineers strategically placed through out the United States to better serve our customers. You can expect the same level of professionalism and timeliness as we extend to our contract customers.

Ultrasound System Preventive Maintenance

GMI can provide Preventive Maintenance (PM) for all your ultrasound needs. PM will insure the longevity of your equipment as well as verification for accreditation. GMI’s highly trained Field Service Engineers will perform PM’s when and where you need it. Let GMI lighten the load on your department by scheduling all your PM’s with GMI. Preventive Maintenance include a thorough visual inspection, surface disinfection, transducer inspection, system diagnostics, verification of calibration, internal inspection and cleaning. GMI performs it’s inspections based on guidelines set forth by the governing bodies on accreditation.
